About Coach Green

Mr. Wesley W. Green, the National Coordinator for GWCAS, has been an educator, coach, academic advisor and student advocate on university campuses nationwide, for over 20 years. 

 

His successful work on collegiate campuses, such as the University of Miami, Alcorn State University, Lane College, California State University Dominguez Hils, Bacone College, HOPE International University and Oklahoma Christian University, stemmed from his tenure as a multiple championship-winning coach in high schools throughout Los Angeles County, California.  

 

As a young minority student from inner city New Jersey, Coach Green earned his Baccalaureate of Science degree in health sciences from Langston University in Oklahoma.  It's with this tenacity, determination & drive that Coach Green inspires minority student athletes to succeed and achieve. It's important to him to ensure that students receive opportunities.  "We help ensure students have the opportunities and tools to succeed, both athletically and academically."

 

A co-founder for the Black Coaches Association of Los Angeles (BCALA), he is also a member and noted speaker for the Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA) and Athletes in Action's (AIA) regional conferences.

Nationally, Golden West has matched over 193 

student athletes with university scholarships, military and career opportunities.
